Consultation
A technical conversation before you commit to the wrong build
You do not need a full project to get a clear recommendation. We review the current setup, the constraint that is slowing you down, and whether the next step is a marketing site, a web application, Shopify work, a migration, or technical SEO.
Who this is for
Consultation is for owners and operators who need a technical opinion before spending on a build—or who need oversight on work already in motion.
This is a fit
- Businesses choosing between a marketing site, a web application, and Shopify
- Teams planning a redesign, migration, or automation and wanting a scoped next step
- Owners who need a second set of eyes on an existing vendor, theme, or codebase
This is not a fit
- Requests for free implementation or a full audit disguised as a call
- Content, ads, or social strategy
- Ranking or revenue guarantees
Advice you can act on
The useful output of a consultation is a decision. We will tell you what to build, what not to build, and which of our services—if any—matches the work. If Shopify is the wrong platform, we will say so. If you only need a marketing website, we will not sell you a store.
What you leave with
- A plain-language read on the current stack and the real bottleneck
- A recommended path: site, application, Shopify, migration, SEO, or wait
- Clear in/out of scope so you are not buying a vague retainer
- Next-step options you can take to us or to another team
What we cover
The conversation follows the decision in front of you. These are the questions that come up most often.
Platform fit
Whether you need Shopify, a custom marketing site, a web application, or something else.
Scope & sequencing
What to do first, what can wait, and what would be wasted spend at this stage.
Migration & redesign risk
URL, data, and cutover issues that tend to break launches if they are skipped.
Vendor & codebase review
A second opinion on an existing theme, agency plan, or half-finished build.
Automation & ops
Where custom software or integrations would remove manual work—and where they would not.
Technical SEO check
Whether search visibility is a build problem, a content problem, or not the priority yet.
How consultation works
- 01
Intake
You tell us what the business does, what is failing today, and what you think you need built.
- 02
Review
We look at the current site or stack enough to have an informed opinion—not a full audit unless that is the engagement.
- 03
Recommend
You get a recommended next step, including whether we are the right team for the work.
- 04
Decide
If it is a fit, we scope a project or retainer. If it is not, you still leave with a clearer plan.
Common questions
01Is this a sales call?
It is a scoping conversation. If one of our services fits, we will say which one and what it would take. If it does not, we will say that too.
02Do I need to know which service I want?
No. That is the point of consultation. Bring the business problem; we will map it to a site, an application, Shopify, a migration, technical SEO, or none of the above.
03Can this turn into ongoing oversight?
Yes. Some clients want a fractional technical partner after the first conversation. Others only need the recommendation. Both are fine.
Not sure which service fits?
Start with a short technical conversation. Tell us what your business does and where the current setup is falling short. We will map a concrete next step.
