WooCommerce to Shopify migration
Outgrown WooCommerce plugins and patchwork hosting? We migrate your catalog, customer history, and search visibility to Shopify so your team can sell on a platform built for commerce—not server maintenance.
Who this is for
This is for established stores that have outgrown WooCommerce or WordPress ecommerce—not a one-click importer for a tiny catalog with nothing to preserve.
This is a fit
- Product brands already selling on WooCommerce that need a cleaner, faster store they can actually run
- Catalogs with real variant, customer, order, or SEO history that would be painful to rebuild by hand
- Teams that need redirects so existing social, Google, and printed links keep working
This is not a fit
- Brand-new stores with no catalog, customers, or URLs worth moving
- Projects whose only goal is the cheapest possible product copy-paste
- Businesses where Shopify is not the right platform—we will say so rather than force the move
Move to Shopify without losing what already works
Most WooCommerce stores stall on plugin conflicts, slow checkout, and fragile hosting—not product-market fit. As a fractional Shopify Technical Partner, we plan the migration around your revenue channels, replatform the data that matters, and leave you with a storefront your team can run day to day.
What a clean migration unlocks
- Faster checkout and fewer plugin-related outages during peak sales
- A single admin for products, discounts, and fulfillment integrations
- Preserved URL structure and redirects so organic traffic keeps flowing
- Documented handoff so your team knows how orders, inventory, and apps connect
Migration modules we deploy
Every store is different. These are the workstreams we combine for most WooCommerce to Shopify replatforms.
Catalog & variants
Products, variants, collections, metafields, and media migrated with mapping rules your merchandising team can maintain.
Customers & order history
Customer accounts and historical orders imported where Shopify supports them, with clear notes on what transfers and what does not.
Redirects & SEO equity
URL redirect plans, metadata cleanup, and technical SEO checks so rankings and paid landing pages survive the move. Redirects mean the links you already shared still work.
Apps & integrations
Replacement or reconfiguration of fulfillment, ERP, email, and subscription apps on Shopify’s ecosystem.
Theme & UX
Custom Shopify theme work or a tailored Online Store 2.0 build so the new storefront matches how you actually sell.
Launch & stabilization
Staged cutover, smoke testing, and a short post-launch window to fix edge cases before we hand off.
How we run the migration
- 01
Audit & scope
We inventory plugins, integrations, URL patterns, and operational workflows to define a migration plan with clear in/out of scope.
- 02
Build & data mapping
We configure Shopify, map WooCommerce data fields, and run test imports until product, customer, and order records look right.
- 03
Validate & train
Your team reviews checkout, discounts, and fulfillment paths. We document admin workflows before launch.
- 04
Cutover & support
DNS and domain cutover, redirect activation, and monitored launch with a defined stabilization period.
Proof on file
We will not invent migration outcomes. Public Shopify work is listed below; client-approved migration write-ups will replace the placeholder when they are ready.
Common questions
01Will the links we already shared keep working?
That is part of the job. We map current URLs and set up redirects so links on social media, Google, emails, and business cards continue to reach the right pages.
02What actually gets moved?
Typical scope includes the product catalog (variants, images, collections), customer and order history where it is useful and permitted, a new or refreshed Shopify theme, core apps, redirects, basic SEO and speed checks, hand-off training, and a short post-launch support window.
03How is this different from a plugin importer?
Importers copy products. They do not plan variants, customers, orders, redirects, apps, checkout, tax, shipping, or the cutover. Those are the parts that break revenue if they are skipped.
04How do you price a migration?
By catalog size, page count, and history. Small stores (about 100 or fewer products/variants, few pages, limited history) typically land around $2,500–$5,000. Medium catalogs with meaningful history are often $5,000–$12,000. Large or heavily custom stores start at $12,000+.
05When is Shopify not the right move?
If the catalog, checkout rules, or integrations are a poor fit for Shopify, we will say so. The goal is a store you can run—not a forced replatform.
